Seru, Delapan Ponpes di Gresik Bertarung di Ajang Liga Santri Piala KSAD

Gresik, Jurnal9.tv – Sebanyak delapan pondok pesantren (Ponpes) bertarung yang terbaik diajang sepak bola Liga Santri Piala Kepala Staff Angkatan Darat (KSAD) 2022 yang digelar di Stadion Gelora Joko Samudro (Gejos), Senin sore (20/06).

Turnamen sepak bola yang sempat terhenti dua tahun akibat pandemi covid-19 itu kini digelar kembali. Ada delapan ponpes yang bertanding memperebutkan Piala KSAD.

Delapan ponpes tersebut, diantaranya Qomaruddin, Ponpes Al Miftah, Al-Ibrohimi, Ponpes Al-Ikhlas, Al-Muniroh, Al Nuriyah, dan Ponpes Dahrul Ihsan.

Komandan Distrik Militer (Kodim) 0817 Gresik, Letkol Inf Taufik Ismail mengatakan, turnamen sepak bola Piala KSAD ini digelar serentak di Indonesia yang dipusatkan di Jombang, Jawa Timur. Ada 34 provinsi serta ratusan kabupaten/kota se-Indonesia ambil bagian di Liga Santri.

“Sepak bola merupakan olahraga yang banyak diminati masyarakat. Untuk itu, TNI AD berharap dari ajang Liga Santri ini bisa membawa prestasi sekaligus sebagai ajang silaturrahmi antara santri,” katanya.

Melalui Liga Santri ini lanjut dia, juga menciptakan kemanunggalan TNI dengan masyarakat. Sebab, kegiatan tersebut juga mencari talenta pesepak bola berbakat yang bisa membawa ke level tingkat nasional.

Sementara Bupati Gresik Fandi Akhmad Yani, atau akrab dipanggil Gus Yani menambahkan, kegiatan memberikan ruang bagi santri di bidang olahraga. Meski Liga santri ini, sempat berhenti dua tahun lalu. Namun, dengan adanya turnamen tersebut mudah-mudahan menjadi kesempatan yang terbaik bagi talenta pesepak bola asal Gresik.

“Gresik dikenal sebagai ikon kota santri, dari ajang ini bisa membawa dua nama baik. Yakni, pondok pesantren dan Kabupaten Gresik,” pungkasnya.(ap/rfp)
