Saya termasuk orang yang tidak percaya bahwa pengetahuan tentang weton sudah benar-benar habis, hilang dalam masyarakat. Masih banyak anak-anak muda yang saya jumpai, paling tidak menanyakan perihal weton calon pasangannya. Memang weton paling sering dikaitkan dengan pernikahan. Padahal, weton bisa berkaitan dengan banyak hal. Bahkan perjudian, pencurian atau penangkapan maling juga bisa menggunakan ilmu weton.

Tapi, kadang pertanyaan yang diajukan oleh anak-anak muda itu lucu. Misalnya begini, seseorang bertanya tentang kecocokan weton Selasa Wage dan Minggu Pahing. Nah, lucunya mereka banyak yang menjawab belum. Wah, kacau kan? Belum punya calon sudah punya pikiran takut dengan weton calon pasangan. Dalam hal ini saya sarankan, lebih baik memantapkan dulu ke jenjang pernikahan, baru kalau mau nyari hari baik pernikahan, bolehlah dihitungkan wetonnya.

Bukankah menentukan calon pasangan itu menjadi prasyarat untuk menikah? Kalau belum punya calon, mengapa harus capek-capek membahas weton calon pasangan?. Ini ibarat belum beli mobil sudah berdebat siapa nanti yang akan nyupiri. Sia-sia belaka. Makanya, saya akan menjawab jika sudah punya calon yang jelas. Kemudian sudah mantab belum? Itu juga harus saya ajukan, sebab kalau belum mantap, ya lebih baik memikirkan kemantapan dulu, memperhatikan hal-hal penting selain weton.

Ada sebuah nasehat, jika mau mencari calon istri maka perhatikan kecantikannya, nasabnya, kekayaannya dan agamanya. Jika calon suami ya kegantengannya, nasabnya, hartanya dan agamanya. Hal-hal tersebut menurut saya jauh lebih diutamakan untuk diperhatikan. Urusan weton bisa ditata kemudian. Urusan kecantikan, nasab, kekayaan dan agama ini bisa sangat subyektif. Setiap orang bisa berbeda-beda. Oleh karena itu mempertimbangkan hal demikian menjadi sangat penting. Keempat hal itulah yang bisa membuat seseorang mantap dalam menjalin hubungan serius menuju pernikahan.

Manusia sering dihantui oleh rasa takut itu sendiri, bukan karena ada bahaya nyata yang dihadapi. Bahaya justru dihasilkan dari rasa takut. Informasi yang diperoleh dengan tidak lengkap atau sekedar katanya-katanya bisa menjebak seseorang masuk dalam rasa takut. Akhirnya malah tidak menikah-menikah. Masih ada lho, orang-orang takut menikah karena selalu ketemu hitungan weton yang jelek terus.

Weton tidak perlu dijadikan alasan seseorang untuk tidak menikah. Sebab dalam perhitungan weton sendiri ada solusi untuk mengantisipasinya. Misalnya, jika jumlah pasangan ketemu tidak bagus, maka dicari hari pernikahan yang tepat, sehingga hasil hitungannya menjadi bagus. Memang terkesan matematis, tetapi setiap weton memiliki karakter. Oleh karena itu mengenal karakternya menjadi bekal mencari solusi jika bertemu dengan problem hitungan yang tidak baik.
